Get Ready! D220 is hosting a Parent University for Chinese Immersion on Wednesday, February 11 from 5:45-7:50 pm at Rose Elementary. This event is free to attend.

BCIC encourages all parents/guardians to attend. Each parent/guardian attending needs to register separately. D220 has kindly asked that no children attend if possible.

Please reference the district email sent on 1/21 for additional details. Registration for the event and specific sessions is required. 

Ages 0-4 are FREE!

Ages 5+ are $15 each.

This family friendly celebration will feature Chinese and Asian arts and crafts, cultural performances, and experiences for all ages. We hope you will join us for this very special event.

Register and join our BCIC Open Board Meeting in person or virtually; link will be emailed shortly before meeting to registrants. Come learn about BCIC and hear how we are supporting the CI program through initiatives and events. Please use the registration link to submit a question/comment for our board to discuss by Monday, March 9.

All current 8th graders and their families are invited to join BCIC for a panel discussion about the transition to high school in the Upper Atrium of Barrington High School. After the panel discussion, there will be time for the current 8th graders to informally chat with the current high school students and/or teachers. At the same time, current 8th grade parents can informally chat with current high school parents and/or teachers.

This is NOT intended to be a drop off event; students and their parents will benefit from hearing from our panelists. Students should attend with their parents or another trusted adult.

This is a FREE event, but registration is required. ALL attendees must be registered to attend. This means you should click “+ Add Guest” for each additional person in your group attending.

You may submit as many questions to the panel ahead of time via this same registration form. Questions submitted on this registration will be asked annonymously during the event. You can also directly ask questions at the event to our CI high school students serving on the panel, Mrs. Yang or Ms. Stumpf (our CI high school teachers), parents of current/past high schoolers, and BCIC reps.

3-5th Grade Games Thank you!

Thank you to the families that came to join BCIC at Barrington Area Library for the 3-5th grade games event. There was a great turn out for this fun event. 

To avoid events being scaled down, merged, or canceled, we need more people to register to be volunteers. You can help in the planning process or the day of event, but we need you to sign up to be on a list to contact. Every small contribution has a big impact. Please see how you can support our group for the benefit of your children and their classmates.
