BCIC and Greencastle of Barrington will be hosting its first Poetry and Music event on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at 10 am. CI students and residents are invited to present short poems in Mandarin. Students are also invited to perform short pieces of music (priority first given to Honors Orchestra students).
This signup sheet is for 8th grade and BHS students who would like to participate as co-hosts and event volunteers. Service credit may be awarded for volunteering.
Co-Hosts: We are also seeking two students to co-host the event. Co-hosts will introduce students and residents before their performances. Co-hosts should be comfortable speaking Mandarin in front of a group of students, families and Greencastle residents.
Event Volunteers: Please help us make this new event a success by welcoming guests and residents, passing out programs, lining up performers, serving food, etc.
You may also sign up separately to be a poetry reader or musical guest. Event support volunteers are asked to arrive by 9:30 am.
